In this week's Friday Photo, we took on a walk within Silverdale. We have chosen this picture due to the beautiful nature of this adorable little creature.
When we had returned to the car, this little robin appeared within the shrubbery as we changed out of our boots. Unlike most small birds who scurry away when you get close, this little robin was clearly used to being around guests to his woods.
He neither scurried nor flew off and, when approaching the bird closer, we heard him singing a little tune.
It was one of those magical moments you realise that if you respect the countryside you visit, in return, the country will reward us with these little moments of beauty. An important reminder that the countryside does not belong to us; we are merely guests.
