Sunset Mountain Climb for Local Charity

A team of enthusiastic fundraisers from SQ Digital are pledging to raise £150 each for the local charity St John's Hospice.

Since joining the incredible team at SQ Digital, I have been blown away by the continuous efforts gone into raising money for local charities. Meeting on a regular basis to discuss next month's fundraising, as a supporter of all good and positive things to help others, I couldn't help but get involved.

Our next biggest challenge is conquering one of the highest points in the Lake District, Helvellyn. We will undertake the almighty 10-mile walk, with the aim of catching the beautiful sunset on the 18th June 2022.

It is expected to take between 6-8 hours (I hope) and all the money raised will go towards supporting the fantastic work carried out by St. John's Hospice. Each of us nine ambitious climbers have pledged to raise £150 for the charity.

St John's Hospice provides free palliative care to patients with life-shortening conditions. Their services cover North Lancashire, South Lakes and parts of North Yorkshire. As a charity, only a third of their funding comes from the government, with the rest being funded by fundraisers and donations, which make events like this vital for their ability to continue supporting the community.

Every penny counts, so no matter how small your donation may be, it all goes to an incredible cause which deserves our support.

If you would like to sponsor or donate, feel free to do so on my personal JustGiving page to help me reach my target before the big day in just 5 weeks!

Wish me luck (I think I may need it)
